a pulling stance

i attained a certain stance
solid and enduring
it was a summoning stance
my stance was exemplary
it was so powerful that
when i was done i just laid down
on the grassy hill
it pulled them right to me
when they had seen what i had done
they sat down with me
under the cuban sun
those two reckless beauties
because of what i had done
my stance had taken all three of us
we were discovering new territory
it was a languid place
because of the heat
because of what i had done
it was a place on a slant
everything was on a slope
after they had seen what i had done
shortly after i took my stance
under the cuban sun
everything happened slowly
because of what i had done

learn to recognize.

for a human, i think it takes time--which really only equates to experience--before we learn to recognize the beauty of the face in the nuances. at first, if we are bombarded by typical sufericial media/marketing values of beauty (i.e. symmetry) we are blinded to the natural beauty of the face. Beauty is in the articulation of the face. how it can convey a thing, whether it be a thought, or any of the emotions. learn to read a face and You will never be at a loss.
