for a human, i think it takes time--which really only equates to experience--before we learn to recognize the beauty of the face in the nuances. at first, if we are bombarded by typical sufericial media/marketing values of beauty (i.e. symmetry) we are blinded to the natural beauty of the face. Beauty is in the articulation of the face. how it can convey a thing, whether it be a thought, or any of the emotions. learn to read a face and You will never be at a loss.
